Volunteer group to install native pollinator demonstration garden at San Alta School this fall

Chelsea Gastellum said Wild Ones awarded a financial grant to support a native pollinator demonstration garden inside San Alta School and that Busy Bee has completed site prep and scheduled planting for the fall.
"They gave us a financial grant to put in a native pollinator demonstration garden inside of San Alta School," Gastellum said, adding that the school demonstration will link to the nearby Dartmoor Naturehood project and expand local habitat. She said volunteers will handle the installation and that the group has been coordinating with partners to ensure no underground utilities conflict with planting.
Gastellum said the demonstration garden will serve as a public example and educational resource for students and neighborhood residents and that Busy Bee has listed the project on its public pages for volunteers to sign up.
