Organizer lists Xerces, Monarch and local partners supporting Busy Bee projects

"This is our 2nd year in a row with plant grants from Xerces Society," Gastellum said, describing how grants and in‑kind discounts enable projects at schools and public edges. She also said the group runs four native seed libraries in Lemon Grove that are sponsored by the San Diego Bird Alliance and used to supply community planting events.
Gastellum characterized these partnerships as essential to the co‑op’s capacity to deliver free seeds and affordable plants to residents and schools. She encouraged local residents to take seeds from the libraries and to contact Busy Bee for information on grants and collaboration opportunities.
