The Calipatria Unified School District Board authorized the purchase of two pickup trucks for the Maintenance and Operations Department with a total purchase limit not to exceed $55,000. The motion to approve purchase authority passed by a 7-0 roll call vote.
Trustee Frank Perez asked what type of vehicle would be purchased. Superintendent Angelita V. Ortiz replied that they would be basic trucks intended to fulfill routine maintenance needs. The board’s motion delegated authority to the Superintendent to identify and procure vehicles within the stated limit.
