At its Oct. 14, 2024 meeting the Calipatria Unified School District Board of Trustees took the following formal actions: the consent agenda (minutes, personnel, financial reports, purchase orders, warrants, and menus) was approved; the Board authorized a Letter of Agreement with SitelogIQ (see article) to develop energy and facility projects; it approved roofing project closeouts including Pay Application 6 and Change Order 1; it approved CHS senior overnight travel for Nov. 1–2, 2024 and May 30–31, 2025; it approved the CATIP MOU and Title I/ Home-School Compact for Bill Young Middle School; it accepted school plans and certificated assignments and approved an SDSU student-teaching agreement (2024–2029); it proclaimed Red Ribbon Week (Oct. 23–31, 2024) with the theme "Life is a movie, Film Drug Free." The Transportation Plan was tabled to a future meeting and committee appointments were postponed until after elections.
Most motions recorded roll-call approvals in favor; one vote (item 111—continuation of dental/vision for Larry McMillan) was recorded with Trustee Diego Navarro absent for that vote. Closed session followed for personnel, labor negotiations, and anticipated litigation.
