Kingsbury County approves 98 senior/disabled property tax freezes; two applications pending

Kingsbury County Treasurer Michelle Longville told the Board of Equalization on April 15, 2026, that the county had received 107 applications for the senior/disabled property tax freeze. Of those, 98 were determined to qualify, seven were denied and two remained pending. Commissioner Troy Nelson moved to approve the qualifying applications; Commissioner Corey Lundquist seconded the motion and all present voted aye.
Longville asked the Board for permission to continue processing the two pending applications through Friday, April 17, 2026; the Board approved the request by consent and noted any qualifying applications not received by that date would need to be abated next January. The minutes record the counts and the extension but do not list individual applicant names.
