Staff updated the commission on recent outreach and administrative matters, including recruitment for a technical advisory group and a housing-focused community survey that will inform the general plan update. Staff said application materials and the survey are available on the Fortuna project website.
Staff also said the next planning commission meeting on Aug. 11 will likely be canceled due to a light agenda. Separately, staff member Brendan announced that nominations opened July 13 for the November city council election (four seats available — three four-year seats and one two-year seat) and that the nomination period closes on Aug. 7. Brendan invited interested residents to contact the city clerk's office for nomination packet appointments.
