Chamber highlights new events, grants and Main Street work in semiannual report

Sedgwick highlighted community events such as Winter Wonderland and a rebranded Cinnamon Roll Stroll, and noted the chamber’s regional collaborations (Big Chamber and Bridal Utah Chamber Coalition) that expand grant eligibility.
The presenters also said the chamber and Main Street efforts secured multiple grants for tourism marketing and downtown beautification and that the city’s collaboration helped Parowan achieve Main Street USA tier‑2 affiliate status, enabling additional community grant opportunities.
Council members thanked the chamber for event support and for stepping in to finance fireworks and America 250 activities when needed. The update was informational; no formal council action was taken at the time of the report.
