Following a closed-session personnel discussion, the Board took two public actions in open session. First, trustees voted to non-re-elect a 7-8 English Language Arts certificated position; the motion passed with a roll call vote of 6 ayes and 1 absent (Michael Fong).
Second, the Board voted to non-re-elect a Calipatria High School administrator position. That motion passed by roll call with five ayes, one abstention (Trustee Brittany Saiza), and one absent. No reduction-in-force (RIF) actions for certificated or classified staff were taken and no 60-day classified layoff notices were issued at the meeting.
The minutes record motions and votes but do not name the individual employees affected by the non-re-election motions. Board members agreed to return to future agenda items to handle any required notices or procedural follow-up.
