The Calipatria Unified Board on Feb. 11 approved a contract with Caldwell Flores Winters, Inc. (CFW) for professional consulting services through Jan. 31, 2030. Trustee Michael Fong moved to approve the contract; Trustee Frank Perez seconded the motion and the roll-call vote was 7 ayes.
CFW representative Mr. Kush attended the meeting to present financing options for a proposed solar-panel project and to outline possible structures. After presentation and discussion, trustees were asked to set a special called meeting for Feb. 13, 2025 to address amendments, agreements and financing terms for a separate SitelogIQ solar-panel proposal. Trustees indicated they were not interested in pursuing the project at that time and declined to call the special meeting.
The CFW contract approval authorizes district staff to work with the consultant on financing and related analyses; the Board did not adopt any financing agreements for the solar project that night and did not schedule the special meeting.
