Administrator Charity Mitchell reported that Lennar Homes contacted village staff requesting a meeting with her and President Meyer to ask if new-home permits could be provided at a reduced cost. Trustees asked staff to review existing fee schedules and perform a study to determine appropriate fees going forward.
Trustee Kraus also raised the question of re-implementing school impact fees, noting the moratorium has expired. The board directed staff and the appropriate committees to study current fees and bring recommendations back to the Board. President Meyer additionally noted she may formalize which holidays the village allows bars to stay open late and suggested simplifying committee names to better reflect their roles.
