The board voted to approve Resolution 2026‑02 acknowledging receipt of the Cameron Park Fire Department’s annual inspection report required under sections of the California Health and Safety Code. Staff told the board the report compiles the status of mandated annual inspections (apartment buildings, schools, residential care facilities, hotels and motels) and that while the district is not yet 100% compliant it has a plan and will prioritize completing outstanding inspections.
“My hope is we’ll achieve 100% compliance next year,” a director said during discussion. Staff framed the resolution as a transparency step: the district will post the report on its website and file the required documentation with the county. No public speakers objected during the item, and the resolution passed on a roll call vote.
