County approves $53,915 engineering estimate for bridge to pursue BIG grant; road projects remain under review

Highway Superintendent Dave Sorenson reported that work has begun on 425th Avenue and presented several project estimates to the board on April 21. Toby Morris of Colliers Securities (appearing via Zoom) told the Board the county has three potential income sources to pay the current bond94TIF revenue, Riverview donations, and RPP funds94and said engineer numbers are required before the county can confirm moving forward with 215th Street.
Sorenson also presented a $222,750 estimate to apply mastic on 9.4 miles of 441st Avenue, which exceeded the $150,000 budgeted amount; no action was taken on that estimate. The Board approved an engineering-services estimate from Civil Design, Inc. for $53,915.55 to make Bridge No. 39-070-041 (north of Manchester) bid ready so the county can apply for a Building Infrastructure Grant (BIG).
