Highway Superintendent Dave Sorenson updated the Kingsbury County Board on April 9 that construction on the 425th Avenue project will begin next week and that the road "would be closed" during construction. Sorenson also reported spring road postings had been removed countywide.
Sorenson said core samples taken on 215th Street "look good" with only a couple of spots requiring extra consideration. He further reported Redstone Dairy wants to move forward with a local project and will cover engineering costs; Sorenson has contacted an engineer to begin that process. The board was informed that staff will prepare bid-ready materials for the 425th Avenue project and pursue appropriate funding following a separate budget action.
