The Kingsbury County Board of County Commissioners unanimously adopted Resolution 2026-5 on April 9, 2026, approving a $3,666,000 supplemental budget to fund Repairs/Maintenance for the 425th Avenue project. Auditor Echo Steffensen opened the supplemental budget hearing and read the proposed resolution and the dollar amount being requested.
Steffensen read the resolution language stating there was a need to provide additional budget authority and that "proceeds from debt will be the offsetting means of finance" for the 425th Avenue line item. After discussion, the motion to adopt Resolution 2026-5 passed on roll call: Lee–aye, Spilde–aye, Walls–aye, Lundquist–aye, Nelson–aye. Chairman Kyle Lee left the meeting after the vote and Vice-Chairman Corey Lundquist then presided.
The board recorded that no members of the public were in attendance for the hearing. The supplemental budget will be used to move the 425th Avenue project forward; staff were directed to prepare project bid documents and pursue funding opportunities as appropriate.
