Lions Club seeks park relocations, All American Day returns Aug. 23; Lions to repair road damage

Joe Burgess, representing the Lions Club, addressed the Board during New Business to request relocation of benches and memorial stones from Lion's Park to the east side of the walking track because the new adjoining property owner says the items are on his property. Burgess also asked that a five-year-old slide donated by the Lions be re-used at another park and said the club plans to hold All American Day on Aug. 23 with a Farmers Market and a burnout event.
Trustee Kraus raised concerns about road damage following last year's event and asked that the road be repaired promptly after the 2025 event; Burgess said the Lions Club will fix the road. No formal vote was recorded; the board did not object to the requests in principle and the items would be addressed administratively or in future agenda items as needed.
