Board approves continuation of landscape and lighting assessments for FY 2026–27

The Cameron Park Community Services District board voted to approve Resolution 2026‑12 on June 17, declaring the district’s intent to continue assessments for landscaping and lighting districts for fiscal year 2026–27.
Staff explained the engineer’s report prepared by contractor SCI and noted there were no significant changes from the prior year except that the assessment for LLD Unit 46 (Cameron Valley) has been reinstated after it had been set to zero the previous year because of a fund balance. "If you approve the resolution, the assessments noted on the 2nd page of the staff report will be in place for the 2026–27 fiscal year," staff said.
Directors asked how residents would be notified when no assessment is charged in a given year; staff replied that residents would notice the result on their property tax bill and that the detailed reserve balances are available in the financial report. Staff also said the item will be discussed further by the Parks & Recreation and Budget & Administration committees and that staff would provide an update at the July board meeting.
The board made the motion, seconded and carried the resolution in a roll-call vote.
