Recreation Committee touts Pumpkin Festival success, seeks small FY27 appropriation

The committee sought a modest FY27 request of $1,000 to support events and recurring community programs including Open Mic Night and the Bradbury Mountain Arts potluck series.
Committee members asked for higher musician stipends for headline acts (an example proposal cited $700 for Bonnie and the Cats and $300 for Le Bon Truc) to assure quality entertainment and community turnout. The committee also discussed reclassification of some impact fees to infrastructure fees and logistics for school partnerships.
Next steps: the Recreation Committee will refine its line items and provide any additional documentation to the Budget Committee and Select Board as part of the FY27 budget process.
