Selectperson Kate Day summarized results of a Solid Waste & Recycling Committee survey at the Jan. 27 Select Board meeting. Of 204 respondents, 91% favored continuing the Casella roadside collection service rather than switching to a transfer‑station model; 177 respondents prioritized convenience while 22 ranked cost to taxpayers first.
Day said the survey functioned as both an informational outreach and a preference poll; respondents expressed concerns that a transfer station could be more expensive and less convenient. She provided the Select Board with a link to full survey results shared Dec. 10, 2025.
