Parks staff said the vendor was selected following a competitive solicitation with three proposers and that the contract will bring in roughly $20,400 annually. “The current proposer, Warren's Breakfast and Grill, will not cost the county anything and will be charged a monthly rental fee to provide services during all of our sports and public events,” staff said. Commissioners raised concerns about the annual youth athletic association jamboree, which historically relied on concession revenue; staff responded they will work with partners to identify solutions and, if needed, seek alternate concession arrangements for single-day events. The motion to approve passed by voice vote, and staff will continue coordination with youth associations on scheduling and revenue-sharing options.
The board also asked about vendor requirements and staff confirmed the contract requires ServSafe certification and compliance with fire marshal rules.
