Pickleball supporters urge quick action; some board members warn of single-use trade-offs

Other residents and some board members defended the staff recommendation, arguing the community-center investments (slide, shade, bleachers, lifeguard room) will draw families and create revenue to support future projects. “I think making this more of a hub that draws more families and more activities… would drive revenue that would then drive other projects,” a public commenter said. Several board members asked staff to return with a comparison list of Phase 2 and Phase 3 projects so the board can weigh trade-offs.
