Salina board okays employee stipends, 3rd‑grade trip, surplus fencing and adjunct authorization

Members voted to pay $1,000 professional learning stipends to full‑time employees and $500 to part‑time employees who were on payroll Oct. 15, 2024 and remained employed Nov. 21, 2024; the stipends are to be included in the November payroll.
The board also approved an out‑of‑state field trip for 3rd graders to the George Washington Carver Museum in Diamond, Missouri on Nov. 22, 2024; declared old fencing from the softball field surplus to be sold at fair market value; and authorized certified faculty member Pam McKay (ID 235052) to teach Art as an adjunct outside her area of certification for the 2024–2025 school year. All motions passed with the members present (President Leroy Monk recorded absent).
