Board ratifies two letters of support to GDOT for roundabouts at Bowman Mill and Tom Miller roads

County staff asked the board to ratify two letters of support to the Georgia Department of Transportation for intersection improvement roundabout projects: project 00183334 at State Route 52 and Bowman Mill Road, and project 100A83331 at State Route 81 and Tom Miller Road. Staff said the county would accept maintenance responsibilities for lighting and landscaping at completion of each project.
"This letter is for support stating that we support the design of the roundabout for this intersection improvement and that we will... take on the lighting maintenance and the landscape maintenance of the roundabout at completion," staff said regarding the Bowman Mill Road project. Commissioners moved and approved ratification of both letters by voice vote.
