The commissioners approved staff's recommendation that the county repurchase 5,000 gallons of sewer capacity at Tanner's Bridge wastewater treatment facility from CIAM Enterprise Inc. for $75,000, at a rate of $15 per gallon. Staff said the county sent notices to projects with two years of no progress and the owner requested the county repurchase the capacity.
A commissioner confirmed the math: "5,000 gallons for 75,000, correct?" Staff confirmed the figures, and the board approved the repurchase and authorized any necessary budget adjustments to allocate the funds back to the sewer capacity fee account (account number provided in transcript).
