The Board approved a County Road Construction Services contract with Holbrook Asphalt Company to apply HA5 high-density mineral bonding on Bill Rutledge Road, Cosby Road, Deweytown Road, Thurman Road and Double Bridges Road. Roads and bridges staff said the treatment has worked well on prior projects and will extend the roads' lifecycle.
Staff presented a contract price not to exceed $324,275.10 and stated the funding will come from SPLOST (line item 33542541000SRO95). "This is our 3rd project that we have used them...and it has worked excellent on our roads that we have used thus far," staff said. The board approved the contract by voice vote.
