Board OKs TerraMark contract to consolidate county GIS services

The Barrow County Board approved a professional services agreement with TerraMark Land Surveying, Inc. to provide additional GIS services and to standardize geographic data across departments and systems.
GIS staff explained the county has multiple GIS providers and the new Tyler planning/land‑use software makes it essential to consolidate records. "Use them to help pull all this together, so we have one provider giving us all the data, and then we have our in house person who will make sure it's all uploaded and works with Tyler," staff said. The board moved, seconded and approved the contract.
