Following an executive-session discussion, the Fair Haven Select Board voted to sign the town's draft agreement with the Berryman Solar project, with one edit requested by the board. The board agreed to remove language recently added to clause 1a that would have permitted burying the electric line above culverts on Munger Airport Road.
A motion to sign the agreement with that clause stricken was moved, seconded and carried. Board members said they would ask the project's counsel to remove the clause before final execution.
"We will ask to have that language stricken from the agreement," a committee member said after the motion was called. The motion passed by voice vote.
