The board addressed a printing error in Article 16 on the town ballot: extraneous words referencing "senior bus transportation" were inadvertently left in the warning. A resident had contacted the Secretary of State, which recommended a validation process at the next select board meeting.
A committee member read proposed corrective language and moved that the actions taken at the March 3 meeting be readopted and confirmed despite the stray words. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
The clerk explained the Secretary of State's recommended process to rectify typographical errors on printed ballots and said this step would "take care of the problem." The board followed that recommendation and passed the validation motion by voice vote.
