Tannehill board adopts OSSBA policy package and approves two grant budgets

The Tannehill Board on Oct. 22 adopted a suite of OSSBA policy updates and approved two grant budgets presented by Superintendent Booth. The board approved policies listed as EGG (Prohibition of Race and Sex Discrimination), DO (Termination of Employment — Teachers), DOAC (Support Personnel suspension/demotion/nonrenewal/termination), DBCA (Standards and Performance of Conduct for teachers), and EMI (Voluntary private prayer and moment of silence). The motion to adopt the policies was made by Dave Cuenod, seconded by William "Billy" Freeburg, and the package passed 2-0.
Superintendent Booth also presented two grant budgets. The board approved the School Security Officer grant budget and the Stronger Connections grant budget "as presented." Both grant motions carried 2-0. The minutes do not list dollar amounts for the grant budgets; the board approved the budgets based on Superintendent Booth's presentation and record of the grant proposals.
