The Tannehill Board of Education voted Oct. 22 to call elections for two board seats and to publish the legally required notice. The resolution sets the Primary Election for Feb. 11, 2025, and the General Election for April 1, 2025, covering Seat No. 3 (three-year term, currently held by David Cuenod) and Seat No. 2 (two-year term, currently held by William "Billy" Freeburg). The motion was made by Board member Dave Cuenod and seconded by William "Billy" Freeburg; the vote carried 2-0.
Board members also directed the superintendent to publish legal notice as required by title 26 O.S. §13A-109(E). Superintendent Booth presented the procedural language and the board approved the resolution "to call for an election" and the required notice. The action formalizes the filing timeline for candidates and starts the statutory public-notice obligations for the district.
