Tasha Wallis, representing the Lamoille Planning Commission, briefed the Eden Selectboard on changes from the Home Act and Act 181 that will affect regional and municipal planning requirements. She said the state will complete a housing needs assessment and issue suggested town-level targets that Eden must consider as it approaches its eight-year town-plan update.
Wallis asked for feedback on grant assistance LCPC has provided to the town and emphasized that Eden’s updated plan should reflect “the vision that the community has for itself,” adding that the regional plan will aim to reflect Eden’s perspective. No formal action was recorded; the board requested additional information before deciding on next steps.
