District says referendum projects progressing; kindergarten expansion on schedule for fall 2028

"We're excited to share that significant progress has been made on our referendum related projects, including kindergarten expansion and facility improvements. Work will begin this summer, and we continue to be on schedule for opening kindergarten in the fall of 2028," the presenter said.
The presenter also noted sustainability work by the district green team, a grant-funded bike oasis at Westfield High School supported by Sustainable New Jersey, field maintenance and upgrades (new fencing and softball dugouts at Westfield High School, Roosevelt School upgrades and turf enhancement projects), and safety improvements including new emergency strobe lights and updated building signage. Funding and project support were described as coming from booster donations and cost sharing with the Township of Westfield.
