A district curriculum presenter outlined Year 3 progress on Goal 1: strengthening instruction through professional learning, curriculum mapping and clearer assessment evidence. "Teachers and leaders worked on curriculum mapping, identifying gaps and areas for improvement, and advancing our 5 year curriculum revision cycle," the presenter said.
The presenter said the district implemented universal screening in reading and math for grades K through 8 and has expanded job-embedded instructional coaching to support small-group instruction across K'08 classrooms. The presenter also described a redesign of the elementary gifted screening and said the district will pilot the new Compass program in 3rd grade next year, with additional new courses scheduled for the 2026'027 school year.
