CVRPC-funded ADU design work and energy chapter discussed; fall grant round recommended

Andrew McNealus, serving as the commission’s CVRPC liaison, reported that CVRPC has spent $15,000 on design work intended to help facilitate the construction of accessory dwelling units (ADUs). He said the regional agency had also discussed the Energy Plan chapter with local partners.
McNealus advised the commission that it would be better to pursue the Municipal Planning Grant in the fall application round. Commissioners noted the design examples and plan chapter discussion will inform local regulatory revisions and the Town Plan update.
