CVRPC outlines Town Plan update process; commissioners press for implementation milestones

Planning Commission member Michael Duell said the draft lacks a clear implementation plan with measurable milestones or a stewardship process to monitor progress toward the plan’s goals and objectives. Duell asked for more explicit milestones and metrics tied to the plan’s goals. Remote participant Jon Fenton added that some draft sections contain duplicated sentiments and suggested reducing the level of detail to improve clarity.
The commission agreed to keep working with CVRPC staff and to return to specific regulatory text changes (including a revision to Land Use Regulations Section 9.4) at a later meeting. The board tentatively set its next meeting for April 14, 2025, where follow-up on the plan update was expected to appear on the agenda.
