"I appreciate that Fayston is recognizing this body of work and moving towards a more sustainable future by incorporating the trail standards in its LURs," the email read. The Fayston Conservation Commission's letter opened by saying it supports the proposed revision to incorporate State recommended guidelines.
Commissioners flagged the letters as supportive evidence while several residents continued to urge caution about mandatory language and enforcement for private landowners. The commission plans to incorporate written feedback into its draft revisions and to discuss the letters when revising the text for the Selectboard meeting.
