Early in the meeting Committee member (speaker 5) moved to remove agenda item 7b, described in the packet as a proposal to allow other towns to use the transfer station; the motion was seconded by speaker 6 and the board voted in favor. The Chair explained there is a lot to cover on the current agenda and the board would prefer to discuss transfer-station sharing in detail at a later meeting.
Board members noted the transfer-station discussion remains important, particularly in light of potential revenue and operational impacts, but agreed the substantive debate and any policy decision should occur when members and key stakeholders are present. The item was therefore postponed for a future agenda.
