Director Lana Payne reported that homemaker aide staffing currently totals nine full-time and one part-time aide against a staffing plan calling for 12, and said that "pulling from the wait list will require 40–50 new admission visits by nursing staff and supervisors before hiring resumes," which led staff to plan a short pause before recruiting further hires. Several clients who have waited a year or more for services are now coming on for care.
Payne also reported that a new office specialist has joined and adjusted well despite starting amid the office move and renovation disruption, and that a second office specialist position will likely be posted before the next meeting.
