The Town Board on Aug. 4, 2025 authorized the Supervisor to sign a land-lease agreement and a site-access agreement with Bell Atlantic Mobile Systems, LLC d/b/a Verizon Wireless for placement of a communications facility on Town-owned property on Ira Vail Road (Resolution No. 2025-165).
The resolutions authorize the Supervisor to execute the agreements per the attached terms and rental fee schedule. Minutes record that the Town "has no problem with this and the Town will profit from it." The motion was offered by Supervisor Watts, seconded by Council Member Murphy, and carried with all present members voting aye; Council Member Flaherty was absent.
The authorization includes site-access terms for placement, maintenance and use of the communications facility. The resolution text indicates the Board reviewed the request and approved moving forward with lease documents.
