After extended discussion about balancing fairness and the risk of the process being weaponized, a board member moved and the board voted in favor to begin the process and have Laurie implement recommended changes from the auditor and prepare the ordinance for final adoption. The motion passed by voice vote with members saying "Aye."
Members asked staff to circulate the draft language ahead of final adoption and to ensure the legal-ad publication requirements are met before finalizing the ordinance.
