County approves law enforcement contract, GIS agreements, printer purchase and election fee

During administrative business on Jan. 20, County Auditor Echo Steffensen presented several items that the Board approved by motion. The Board authorized the Chairman to sign the 2026 Law Enforcement contract with the city of Arlington and two agreements with the First District of Local Governments for county GIS website hosting, parcel updates, and GIS 911 data maintenance.
Steffensen also requested and the Board approved purchasing a printer/copier from Century Business Projects for $8,241.25 to be split between the Auditor and Register of Deeds offices as budgeted. The Board set the fee for combined elections with cities and schools at $500. The Board also approved an employee leave without pay; the minutes record motions and unanimous approval for these administrative actions.
