The county Board approved the Emergency Management quarterly report and standard operating procedures for the Text My Gov service during its Jan. 20 meeting. Emergency Manager Kristen Longville presented both items, and the Board voted to approve them and authorized the Chairman to sign the SOPs.
Longville also requested approval to purchase and install a push bumper for the Emergency Management vehicle from Independent Uplifters in Brookings. The Board approved spending up to $1,200 for purchase and installation (motion by Nelson, second by Spilde). The approvals were recorded as unanimous, and the quarterly report will be filed with the county records.
