Rochell Topham presented the Recreation, Arts and Parks (RAP) Tax Committee’s FY27 recommendations and the Council approved them unanimously.
The committee recommended full funding for Broadway on Main ($8,126) with a condition that equipment purchased remain with the theater, Parowan City Arts ($2,000), and the Utah Summer Games ($5,000). The committee directed the remaining balance of $41,874.41 to Parowan City Parks for restroom construction near the pickleball courts; that project is also co-funded by a previously secured $50,000 tourism grant.
Topham said Broadway on Main’s award is contingent on equipment remaining with the theater; Councilmember David Burton seconded and the motion passed without opposition. The Council recorded the awards and directed staff to proceed with grant administration.
