The Unified School District No. 422 Board of Education held a special meeting at the district office in Greensburg on Feb. 18, 2021. President Ki Gamble presided; members listed as present were Ki Gamble; Paul Kendall; Rosa Hettinger; Darren McDonald; Tony Rhodes; Cory Zenger; and J. Wynn Fleener (via Zoom). Staff in attendance included Superintendent Staci Derstein and Cassie Kirby.
At 1:01 p.m., the board approved a motion to enter executive session to interview a candidate for prospective employment under the non‑elected personnel exception of the Kansas Open Meeting Act. The motion, made by President Ki Gamble and seconded by Tony Rhodes, passed 7–0. The transcript notes the superintendent left the room at 1:04 p.m. and the candidate was in executive session until about 2:30 p.m.; the open meeting resumed as scheduled and President Ki Gamble declared the meeting adjourned at 2:45 p.m.
