Public Works director credits state lawmakers for preserving $4–$5M in Rule 20A credits for Soda Bay Road project

Lars Ewing, Lake County Public Works Director, told the board that with help from Senator McGuire and Assemblymember Aguiar-Curry the county successfully persuaded PG&E to reassign Rule 20A undergrounding credits into the current year, preserving funding critical to the South Main Street/Soda Bay Road project.
Ewing said the reallocation averted what he described as a ‘‘disaster’’ for that project; he estimated the county has roughly $4 to $5 million in PG&E work credits available and thanked the legislators and county staff for coordinating the resolution.
Supervisors acknowledged the coordination and expressed appreciation for the elected officials and staff who helped secure the outcome.
