CID employee Mr. Tramp presented the final drafts of the 2026 Water and Sanitary Sewer budgets, both of which include proposed rate increases to fund operations and a five-year forecast. The Board approved the drafts and directed that the increases undergo two readings and a public hearing in 2026 before taking effect.
The presentation included proposed rate tables. Water: 2025 Water Base $17.11 to proposed 2026 Water Base $17.97; Residential Tier 1 from $1.86 to $1.95, Tier 2 from $2.99 to $3.14, Tier 3 from $4.00 to $4.20. Sewer: Residential Sewer Base from $21.50 to $22.90 and Commercial Sewer Base from $43.00 to $45.80, with sewer per 1,000g from $6.25 to $6.66. Board members emphasized the public-review steps required before any rate increase becomes effective.
