The Dakota Dunes Community Improvement District Board of Supervisors on Sept. 23, 2025, voted unanimously to award a series of construction contracts for the CID maintenance building. Chairman Beaulieu presided; Mr. Wetz moved and Ms. Finzen seconded the motions, which passed 4-0.
The board awarded Bid Package No. 03-1 (Concrete) to L&L Builders for $239,231.00 and Bid Package No. 03-2 (Concrete floor finishes) to L&L Builders for $9,139.00. Gingerich Structures won Bid Package No. 06-1 (rough carpentry and pre-engineered wood frame) for $239,600.00 and Bid Package No. 07-1 (insulation) for $51,400.00. L&L Builders was also awarded Bid Package No. 06-2 (finish carpentry, hollow metal doors & frames) for $52,500.00 and Bid Package No. 09-2 (resilient base) for $1,100.00. Day's Door Company received the award for Bid Package No. 08-1 (sectional overhead doors) for $60,965.00. Tri-State Drywall was listed as awarded Bid Package No. 09-1 (gypsum board assembly) for $17,028.00; the minutes state that "no bids were received for this bid package" and that the award was recommended by L&L Builders, the construction manager at risk. Reich Painting won Bid Package No. 09-3 (paint work) for $11,637.00. Plumbing, HVAC, electrical and earthwork packages were awarded to Hander Incorporated ($117,900.00), CW Suter Services ($90,500.00), Ward Electric Company, Inc. ($159,000.00), and Lieber Construction ($61,404.61), respectively. Each award was moved by Mr. Wetz, seconded by Ms. Finzen, and recorded as passing 4-0.
The board's minutes note the number of bids received for each package where specified (ranges from one to seven bids). The record shows Todd Benson of L&L Builders was present at the meeting to answer questions. No public comments were received during the public-comment period.
