Board: plat approved, purchase agreement for athletic‑site parcel to be drafted

District staff told the board that the county and Department of Transportation approved the plat for the east parcel the district is considering for the athletic complex. Scott said he will ask the district attorney (Rodney) to draft a purchase agreement and bring it to the board for approval at the next regular meeting.
"The plat was approved by the county last week," Scott said. Board members asked whether the two parcels being considered could be compared for community review; Scott said a public comparison would follow a signed purchase agreement to avoid undermining negotiations. Board members also requested additional information about groundwater, drainage and flood‑plain mitigation, which staff said they had begun addressing and would return with technical details.
