The Jerome City Council voted unanimously to approve a prorated city license allowing Carniceria El Caso, operated by Melissa Medina, to sell beer for off-premises consumption at 124 E Yakima, Ste. 124‑D, contingent on providing a county license, paying required fees, and passing building and fire inspections. City Clerk Bernadette Coderniz explained the city license will be valid only through July 31, 2026 and will require a renewal application by July 15.
Building Official Kortnie Kent confirmed the facility does not have sit-down seating, and the council’s approval is for off-premises beer sales only. Councilman Bryan Craig moved the approval with Councilman Jason Peterson seconding; the motion passed unanimously. The license will not be issued until the county license and inspections are complete.
