The Williams City Council approved Ordinance No. 1027 to establish a Trademark Licensing Program and adopted Resolution No. 1469 to set fees for its use. The Deputy City Clerk read the ordinance and resolution by number and title as required; staff noted two spelling errors in the resolution that would be corrected before finalization.
The fee schedule approved by the council sets one-time charges per business: apparel retail $250; promotional items (flags, bags, stickers) $150; business advertising (menus, flyers) $100; permanent signage $300; and no fee for nonprofits. Licenses will be voided upon change of business name, ownership, or location; previously licensed businesses will be grandfathered in.
Councilmember Payne moved approval of Ordinance No. 1027; Councilmember Campbell seconded. Councilmember McNelly moved approval of Resolution No. 1469 and Councilmember Kennelly seconded; both actions passed unanimously.
