Commissioners devoted a portion of the April 2 meeting to invasive-plant work. The minutes record discussion of town and resident approaches to wild chervil and a proposed Mapping Invasives Project presented by Peter Hayden.
The commission also flagged honeysuckle at Wicopy Woods as a spring priority and recorded that "EM to contact Forest Committee" regarding that work. A fall outreach event was noted as a future opportunity to engage volunteers and residents on invasive-plant mapping and removal.
